The Senate is the highest expert organ of the University.
Senate has 21 members:
1) Rector,
2) Three vice rectors,
3) 4 deans of faculties,
4) 12 members of the faculty – three for every faculty (three professors)
5) 1 representative from the Center of interdisciplinary studies of the University
When Senate is debating and decision making on issues which relate to maintaining the
quality of the classes, reform of study programs, analysis of efficiency of studying
and determining the number of ESPB points, disciplinary responsibility of students, the
number of members of Senate is 25. That number includes 4 student representatives, which
are appointed by the Student parliament of the University, and those are: student vice
rector, president of the Student parliament, president of the Council of students and
representative of students who is monitoring the quality of classes.
Mandate of Senate members lasts three years, exceptionally the mandate of student
representatives lasts one year.
When Senate debates concerning the election of educators, there are 15 members who must
be present on its session, and at least three among them are from faculty of elected
educators.
