Editors:
Aleksandar Sasha Dundjerovic is a Research Professor of Performing Arts at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, part of Birmingham City University, and the Director of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Performative Arts (CIPA). He is an award-winning theatre director with international experience, having worked in the UK, Russia, Serbia, Romania, Ireland, Canada, Colombia, Iran, and Brazil.
Sasha completed his training at the Conservatoire for Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, where he specialized in Theatre Directing. He holds a Master’s degree from the School of Drama at the University of Oklahoma in the US and a Ph.D. in Theatre Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London, UK.
His academic experience includes positions at Royal Holloway University of London, Brunel University, the University of Manchester, University College Cork in Ireland, the University of São Paulo in Brazil, and the University of Belgrade in Serbia. He has published several books and academic articles focusing on contemporary theatre-making and cultural production. His notable works include studies on Robert Lepage and Brazilian collaborative performance practices, such as “Brazilian Performing Arts” (2019), “Live Digital Theatre” (2023), and “Placeness and Performative Production of Space” (2024), as well as research on digital live theatre through the “Macbeth Project” (2017-2021).
Since 2000, he has been the Founder and Artistic Director of Kolectiv Theatre UK.

Teaches Dramaturgy, Theater Dramaturgy, Radio Dramaturgy, Performance Dramaturgy, Poetics of Polymedia Arts, Creation of Polymedia Artwork and Time Design at Arts Academy in Novi Sad (basic, master and doctoral studies) and at Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Studies of University of Arts in Belgrade.
With performances, drama, audience participation and texts he has participated at festivals and symposiums in Germany, Canada, the UK, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Russia, Portugal, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Turkey and the whole ex-Yugoslavia.
Creates and develops Time Design.
