Erasmus+ Mobility for Training at:

University of Arts in Belgrade, Faculty of Music

Participating in the Erasmus + Teaching mobility was a very enjoyable experience for me. I wanted to participate in the teaching mobility because I believed that my lectures will help students to acquire knowledge of traditional folk music in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

I have spent my teaching mobility from 15 May to 20 May 2022 at the Department of Ethnomusicology of the Faculty of Music, University of Arts in Belgrade. The schedule (meetings, lectures and archival research in the Sound Archive at the Department of Ethnomusicology, Faculty of Music) was quite intensive from the morning to the evening. Lectures covered a lot of topics: folk musical instruments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, historical sources of traditional music, fieldwork and archival research methods, gender, and the convergence of minorities and migrations. The students were very interested and engaged. I liked the discussions during and after the lectures.

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who supported and helped me on this teaching mobility. Thanks to Ivana Mijanović from the Faculty of Music and Anđela Russo from the International Cooperation Department of the University of Arts in Belgrade for the good coordination and organization of my mobility. Special thanks to prof. dr. Mirjana Zakić for the kind welcoming, friendship and support during my time in Belgrade. Also, I would like to thank prof. dr. Ivana Perković, dr. Iva Nenić, prof. dr. Sanja Radinović, prof. dr. Sanja Ranković and Ana Petrović for the pleasant time that I spent in Belgrade.

This program is so much more than teaching mobility. It offers new perspectives for developing the collaboration between the institutions and new possibilities for joint projects in the fields of Musicology and Ethnomusicology.
