Erasmus+ Mobility for Teaching at:
University of the Arts Helsinki, Sibelius Academy
As part of the Erasmus+ programme, I had the opportunity to spend a teaching mobility period at the prestigious Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, from May 19 to 23, 2025. During my stay, I was actively engaged in working with piano students, both in individual lessons and through collaborative sessions focused on piano duos.
My teaching activities centered on interpretation and technical improvement, and I was truly impressed by the students’ high level of preparedness, dedication, and openness to new artistic approaches. Their genuine interest in my methodology and musical perspective contributed to a productive and inspiring exchange.
In addition to my own teaching sessions, I also attended the piano duo class of Professor Hamsa Juris, where I participated in rehearsals and constructive discussions regarding interpretation, performance preparation, and various artistic viewpoints.
Although I did not take part in additional organized activities, the overall experience proved highly enriching in terms of professional development, pedagogical exchange, and artistic collaboration.
Recommendation for future participants:
I strongly encourage colleagues who are interested in professional growth to take part in this kind of mobility. The Erasmus+ programme offers an exceptional opportunity to develop as both an artist and an educator, while gaining new insights and building meaningful connections.
